Transcript: John Sullivan Makes the Business Case for Hiring People with Disabilities

PEAT asked John Sullivan of General Services Administration: If you were riding in an elevator with a Fortune 500 CEO, what’s your pitch for why hiring people with disabilities is important to their company?

>>Extremely different perspectives. There’s a lot of creativity that’s caused by people having to overcome once sensory loss is there. You really start to see a new perspective in all fields of graphic design, attention to detail. There’s things that you may not be hearing that someone with a sight impairment will be picking up far more than we will. You just get a whole different perspective. Having all of that in the work force and seeing how it all flows together is really important.
