Jeff Wieland is Director of Accessibility at Facebook. He started the Accessibility Engineering team, which is responsible for embedding accessibility into Facebook's engineering, design, and research processes and infrastructure. This enables Facebook to create experiences that are usable by people with disabilities.
Monica Desai is a director of global public policy at Facebook, where she focuses on issues involving online communications service providers and our video products. Prior to joining Facebook, Monica spent over a decade at the Federal Communications Commission, including service as Chief of the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau, which develops policies in connection with accessibility issues, and as chief of the FCC’s Media Bureau.
