PEAT asked Paul Albano, Senior Product Manager at Canon USA: “If you were riding in an elevator with a Fortune 500 CEO,what’s your pitch for why implementing accessible technology matters?
Albano: Accessible technology matters because if you’re a CEO of a Fortune 500 company, it gives you a huge market for you to sell your products and services to. This is a market which has been relatively untapped for many many years. You’ve got, actually, people with disabilities represents one of the largest minority groups in the world and in the United States, so what CEO wouldn’t want a new market to sell their goods and services to — especially considering the the spending power of this group.
