Transcript: Mike Paciello Makes the Business Case for Implementing Accessible Technology

PEAT asked Michael Paciello, President of the Paciello Group: “If you werer riding in an elevator with a Fortune 500 CEO, what’s your pitch for why implementing accessible technology matters?”

Paciello: So, if I’m riding in an elevator I’d say to the CEO: “Listen, how would you like to make several hundred million dollars a year on the table, money that is currently just available to you? It includes tax incentives, it includes scientific R&D monies that are associated with it, other government incentives for creating and initiating a business, not only that that but it also has the support of laws that enforce it.” And, wait for the response and then I’d say: here’s the business, the businesses is the accessibility of information technology to people with disabilities.
